

Chiara Bonomini

Maria Chiara Bonomini is a classical guitarist and educator with over a decade of international experience spanning Europe, the United States, and Asia. She graduated with top honours in her Master’s Degree in Music Performance and Education from Italy’s prestigious Conservatory “A. Peri,” where she also completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Guitar Performance and Advanced Studies in Conducting. Her training includes an advanced course in Guitar Performance at Mannes The New School of Music in New York City, for which she was awarded a scholarship.
As a performer, Maria Chiara brings a wealth of international stage experience, having presented solo and chamber music recitals across Italy, New York, and Hong Kong. In addition to extensive solo training, she has cultivated a rich and versatile chamber music career across a wide range of repertoires, ensembles, and genres—including guitar and clarinet duos, guitar and violin collaborations, dynamic guitar duos, and performances with percussionists, vocalists, actors, and mixed ensembles. Her passion for musical dialogue and adaptability to diverse artistic visions have become hallmarks of her performance style. Her artistry has been recognised with awards from competitions such as the Tadini International Chamber Music Competition and the Valtidone International Music Competition. She also served with distinction as Choir Conductor for the Monteorsaro Italian Alpine Soldier Choir, leading them in performances and competitions.
As an educator, Maria Chiara’s teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student possesses a unique musical voice, waiting to be discovered and nurtured. With over a decade of teaching experience, she has worked with students of all ages and backgrounds in both private and public institutions. As former Assistant Professor of Classical Guitar at the Conservatory “A. Peri,” she collaborated with senior faculty to develop innovative curricula and mentoring programs, helping students achieve exceptional artistic and professional growth.
Her Master’s training included specialised coursework in pedagogy, didactics, psychology, and educational theory, complemented by an official Italian teaching license. This strong academic foundation, combined with her international teaching experience, equips her with the tools to create customised learning experiences that address diverse cultural contexts and learning styles.
Maria Chiara believes that music, as a universal language, offers a powerful bridge between cultures and a celebration of individuality. She integrates a wide spectrum of musical genres, techniques, and perspectives into her teaching to ensure every student feels seen, heard, and valued. Her core mission as an educator is to cultivate an inclusive, inspiring learning environment that celebrates each student’s unique path—while upholding the highest standards of artistic excellence, from guiding beginners through their first performances to preparing advanced students for international competitions.
