

Marco Wong
Marco Wong began piano studies at age six, earning the ATCL Recital Diploma in 2015 and the LTCL Recital Diploma in 2018. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Music Studies, majoring in piano, from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2020, and a Master’s of Music in performance from Royal Holloway, University of London, in 2022. Wong’s mentors include Dr. Lotus Lam, a Hong Kong composer and pianist, Ms. Po Yi Tang, a Hong Kong pianist, Dr. Cherry Tsang, a Hong Kong pianist, and Ms. Helen Leek, a British pianist, whose guidance shaped his artistry.
From age ten, he competed in Hong Kong School Music Festivals, developing expertise in inspiring young musicians. At Hong Kong Baptist University, Wong performed in events like the Chopin Marathon, enhancing his stage presence. His achievements in Hong Kong include first place at the 8th Hong Kong International Youth Performing Arts Festival (2020) and second place at the 13th Asia Pacific Outstanding Youth Piano Competition (2021).
While at Royal Holloway, University of London, he performed a solo piano recital, accompanied Brahms’ German Requiem (London version), and guided pupils in student concerts, morning assemblies, and lunchtime concerts in the UK. He sang with the Founder’s Choir, touring France, and at Hong Kong Baptist University, participated in the University Choir, Cantoria, and Music Office Youth Choir.
Wong is now a music educator in Hong Kong, teaching in schools and privately, fostering students’ musical growth through performance opportunities.
